How PDFora handles locally processed files, browser storage, technical data, support messages, and privacy choices.

Effective date: September 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PDFora handles information when you use the website and its document tools. Supported document processing is designed to happen locally in your browser, while normal hosting, security, support, and advertising services can process limited technical or personal data as described below.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the PDFora website, its document-processing tools, and direct support communications sent to the PDFora contact email. It does not control independent third-party websites or services that you may use before or after visiting PDFora.

2. Files you select

You may select supported PDF, JPG/JPEG, PNG, DOCX, XLSX, XLS, CSV, or PPTX files for the tool action you choose. For supported document tools, processing is designed to occur locally in your browser. PDFora does not intentionally receive or store the contents of those selected documents on its application servers.

Some advanced tools download functional browser libraries, WebAssembly modules, fonts, or OCR language data from third-party content-delivery networks. Those requests can disclose ordinary connection information such as IP address and user-agent to the provider, but the selected document itself is designed to remain in the browser for the processing operation.

  • PDFora does not create a public directory of selected documents.
  • The core document tools do not require a user account.
  • Protect PDF and Unlock PDF use the password locally for the requested browser operation; PDFora does not intentionally store that password.

3. Processed results

A successful tool operation creates the requested output in browser memory and provides a download to your device. PDFora does not provide a server-side document library for processed files.

Browser-held source data and generated results are released when the page is reset or closed, subject to normal browser memory management. Save any result you need to keep on your own device.

4. File validation and limits

PDFora validates supported extensions, rejects empty files, applies interface file-size and file-count limits, and checks page selections before processing. Because processing uses your device, practical speed and memory capacity depend on the browser and device.

5. Technical and server information

Like most websites, PDFora’s hosting, content-delivery, security, and application infrastructure may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer information, user-agent, response status, and security or error logs.

Technical logs are used for service delivery, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, reliability, and security. They are not the same as the contents of a document selected for local browser processing.

6. Accounts, analytics, and advertising

PDFora does not require an account for its core document tools. The site may use Google AdSense to display and measure advertising. When Google advertising tags are active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP address, browser/device information, and activity on this site to serve, limit, measure, or personalize ads as permitted by applicable law and the user’s consent choices.

Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Information about advertising technologies is available at Google advertising technologies.

PDFora does not sell selected document contents. If analytics, authentication, subscriptions, or additional advertising providers are introduced, this policy will be updated to describe the relevant data practices.

7. Support communications

If you voluntarily email [email protected], the message may include your email address, message content, attachments, and any other information you choose to send. That information is used as reasonably necessary to answer the inquiry, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, keep appropriate support records, or comply with applicable obligations.

Avoid sending confidential documents or unnecessary sensitive personal information in support messages.

8. Cookies and browser storage

PDFora’s document tools do not require advertising cookies in order to perform the local file operation. However, advertising or infrastructure services used on the site may use cookies or similar browser storage for functions such as security, ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, fraud prevention, and—where allowed—ads personalization.

Visitors can learn about current cookie categories and advertising choices in the Cookie Policy. Google ad personalization can also be managed through Google Ads Settings. Where consent is legally required, PDFora will use an appropriate consent mechanism before optional advertising storage or personalized advertising is used.

9. Sharing and sale of information

PDFora does not intentionally receive or sell document contents processed locally in the browser, and it does not sell personal information contained in direct support messages. Selected file content is not intentionally published.

Limited information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, security, content delivery, email, or advertising. PDFora may also disclose information it actually holds where reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, protect the service and users, or establish and defend legal rights.

10. Data retention

Selected source files and processed results remain in the local browser session and are not intentionally retained by PDFora as a cloud document library.

Support communications may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, dispute handling, recordkeeping, or applicable obligations. Technical logs and advertising-related data are retained according to the policies and configurations of the relevant infrastructure or advertising providers.

11. Data security

PDFora uses data-minimization measures such as local browser processing, file validation, interface limits, restricted backend routes, and security-focused response headers. No software can guarantee absolute security, so keep original copies and review important results before use.

12. Your choices

You can choose not to select a file, close the page before processing, keep your original document locally, or avoid sending personal information through support email. Because the core tools do not use user accounts, there is no PDFora cloud document library to manage.

You can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. Where a consent message is shown, you can use that message to make the available advertising and cookie choices. For questions about personal information previously supplied directly through support communication, contact [email protected].

13. Children’s privacy

PDFora is a general document utility and is not designed to solicit personal information from children. The core tools do not require registration. If a parent or guardian believes a child has directly sent personal information through support communication, they may contact PDFora for review.

14. International use

PDFora can be accessed from different countries. Privacy, cookie, and advertising-consent requirements vary by location. Users remain responsible for having authority to process the documents they select, including documents containing personal, confidential, or regulated information.

When Google ads are served to users in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, PDFora intends to use a Google-certified consent management platform where required by Google’s publisher policies and applicable law.

15. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when PDFora features, hosting, data practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when a material update is published.
